Have you been thinking about Confirmation?
Confirmation marks the point in the Christian journey at which you affirm for yourself the faith into which you have been baptised and your intention to live a life of committed discipleship. This affirmation is confirmed through prayer and the laying on of hands by the confirming bishop. The Church also asks God to give you power through the Holy Spirit to enable you to live in the way of Jesus.
If you’d like the opportunity to publically confirm your faith in Jesus and receive God’s confirmation of you, by his Holy Spirit, then please contact one of our clergy or the Parish Office
There are two ways of confirming your faith in Jesus:
1. If you were baptised as a baby, you will confirm what your parents
and godparents said on your behalf at your baptism.
2. If you’ve not been baptized, then we will baptise you with water.
You can choose how you’d like this to happen: you could be sprinkled with water, have water poured over you, or you could be fully immersed.
‘Then they laid hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit.’ Acts 8:17
