A Church for the Whole Community
About Us
We are an evangelical anglican church with two main buildings in different parts of the town:
- St Peters Church in Lower Heswall is the Parish Church
- The Church of the Good Shepherd is on the main road in the town centre
We share the following Core Purposes -
Mission - to bring peple of every age and background into a living and gowing relationship with Jesus Christ
Community - to be a mutually supportive, caring community in which everyone has a part to play
Worship - to offer worship to God that is wholehearted, accessible and relevant
Discipleship - to enable people to grow in wholeness and Christ-likeness in their own lives and relationships
God's Kingdom - to change the way the world around us goes about its business
In order to make this happen we have an employed staff team of five plus an invaluable administration team.
Revd Dr Jonathan Gibbs - Rector, particulaly responsible for St Peters
Revd Steve Mansfield - Associate Vicar, particularly responsible for the Church of the Good Shepherd
Revd Cathy Helm - Curate working across both sites
Steve Beal - full time youth minister
Karen Beal - part time children's worker
We are committed to living out an all-member ministry with everyone encouraged to identify and use their gifts in the service of Jesus Christ.
